No. If you'd like to explore the island, you need to rent a car. /Only 4x4 vehicles are allowed to some parts of the island./

Yes, since English is the main language on the island, everybody speaks it.

Are there any dangerous and/or poisonous animals or bugs?

There are some white-tipped reef SHARKS. It is reccomended not to splash rapidly like a 'fish in distress' and not to swim in murky waters.

A person could be accidentally but not fatally stung by:
Portugeese Man-of War- related to jellyfish but unable to swim;
Centipedes- have many legs, move fast and could reach 6";
Scorpions are rare.

Bacterias in water streams could infect your open cuts or wounds. Water in open ponds, and rivers is not reccomended for drinking.

Yes, tap water is filtered. However, water in open ponds, streams and rivers is not reccomended for drinking unless boiled.
